• Perform highway, roadway, and structure maintenance duties, including operating heavy equipment for tasks such as basic snow and ice control/removal.
• Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining highway signs and guardrails.
• Operate power tools and other equipment to perform maintenance duties and keep roadways clear of hazards such as litter, waste, debris, garbage, and carcasses.
• Complete building and ground maintenance duties and general routine maintenance of roadway and radio system equipment.
• Perform minor preventive and repair maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain necessary paperwork, including time records, activity reports, daily diary, and road reports.
• Receive training and perform construction project duties under close supervision.
• Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, coworkers, and others.

• For Temporary Equipment Operator II:
  Valid North Dakota Class A driver license with airbrakes and a cargo tank endorsement; at least two years of relevant experience.
• For Temporary Equipment Operator I:
  Valid North Dakota Class B driver license without airbrake restrictions.
• Ability to report to work within 30 minutes, including after hours, on weekends, and on holidays during emergency events.
• Will be required to complete a drug test, medical screening, reference check, driver record check, and federal clearinghouse query screening.
