CDL Driver

Position Summary

The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies, Federal and State regulations, and to deliver freight undamaged. The driver must work as a team player, delivering, loading, and unloading materials while providing a world‑class customer service experience.

• Inspect truck or trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
• Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential sites.
• Deliver materials to assigned areas as directed by the customer, prioritizing personal safety and the safety of others.
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Report all accidents involving the driver or company equipment.
• Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for loading and unloading.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). Minimum Class B License required;
  Class A strongly preferred.
• Clear three‑year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

• Remain stationary while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time.
• Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. during loading and unloading.
• Move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbed.
• Frequent movement from the vehicle to the job site for unloading.
• Operate a commercial motor vehicle and/or boom vehicle constantly.
• Position oneself to unload materials from flatbed or boom vehicles.
• Judge distance accurately while delivering materials and operating boom equipment.
• Communicate effectively with management and coworkers, exchanging accurate information.
• Work outdoors while making deliveries.
