Role Overview

Responsible for managing transportation operations, including supervising drivers, dispatching, routing, and planning to ensure safe, timely, and accurate deliveries. Collaborates with departments such as warehouse and maintenance to resolve issues and optimize logistics. Manages delivery schedules, negotiates third-party rates, and oversees compliance with DOT/CSA, OSHA, and safety regulations. Develops reports on transportation performance, monitors equipment maintenance, and ensures operational efficiency. Manages transportation P&L, controls costs, and identifies opportunities for improvements.

Leads department staffing, training, and performance management, while fostering strong relationships with internal teams and external partners. Participates in labor negotiations and maintains regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

Associate or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or related field; 5+ years of transportation/logistics experience; 2+ years of supervisory experience. Proficiency with transportation systems (e.g., Cadec, Omnitracs), strong communication, organization, and leadership skills. Knowledge of safety regulations, dispatch, and contractual negotiations. Ability to work flexible hours, handle multiple tasks, and travel as needed. Physical ability to perform job functions in a warehouse environment, including lifting up to 75 pounds.
