Spartan Nash is a food solutions company that delivers ingredients for a better life. The distributor, wholesaler, and retailer distributes grocery and household goods, including fresh produce, to locations in all 50 states.

Location: 3030 Main Ave – Fargo, North Dakota 58103

Salary: $22/hr.

Schedule: 5‑day workweek (Saturdays and one weekday off).

Sunday: 9 AM – Finish (9–10 hours).

Monday–Friday: 10 AM – Finish (9–10 hours).

This role is responsible for completing orders by selecting products from warehouse racks and assembling, palletizing, and/or shrink‑wrapping products/pallets for customer orders. An Order Selector may be required to use a variety of powered industrial equipment and may work in dry or cooled product areas, including refrigerated and freezer compartments.

• Locate and lift cases, boxes, bags, and/or pallets of dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy products, produce, poultry, fish, beef, pork, and related products in specific quantities for delivery to customers using order sheets or an audio headset.
• Operate powered industrial equipment (e.g., single and double pallet jacks).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including conducting inspections of powered industrial equipment using a safety checklist.
• Report damaged products, quality issues, and out‑of‑stock/low‑volume items.
• Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure product safety and prevent damage.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior order selecting experience preferred.
• Prior experience operating power industrial equipment preferred.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks accurately while meeting production standards in a fast‑paced warehouse operation.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work in multi‑temperature areas as assigned (e.g., freezer, coolers, dry conditions).
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Must frequently sit, walk, stand, and use hands to handle, grasp, and twist objects, tools, or controls; must use both feet for repetitive movements such as operating foot controls. Must lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed and work in conditions with temperature and humidity variations. Requires ability to work weekends, holidays, days, night hours, and overtime as necessary.
