Early Childhood Teacher Long Term Substitute

Job Description: A 1.0 FTE long-term substitute Early Childhood teacher position for Roosevelt Early Learning Center. Qualified candidates will offer a developmentally appropriate learning environment, with a focus on cognitive, social/emotional, language, literacy, and physical/motor development of students. This teacher will also work with classroom paraprofessionals to create a warm welcoming environment for parents and children. The position is 5 days a week from 7:30 AM–3:30 PM.

This position commences on February 2 to March 19, 2026. Faribault Early Childhood is a part of the Minnesota Centers of Excellence Pyramid Model. Applicants with knowledge and experience in a multi-tiered system of support for young learners are preferred.

• Provide a developmentally appropriate learning environment focusing on cognitive, social/emotional, language, literacy, and physical/motor development.
• Collaborate with classroom paraprofessionals to create a warm, welcoming environment for parents and children.
• Maintain daily schedule: 5 days per week from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
• Support implementation of the Minnesota Centers of Excellence Pyramid Model.

• Early Childhood Education license required.
• Ability to work with young children in a team setting; 2+ years experience preferred.
• Experience working with a diverse population and with special needs is helpful.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Commitment to child safety and awareness of emergency procedures.

Licensure necessary for position: State of Minnesota Early Childhood License
