• Assisting students with academic instruction in one‑on‑one and small‑group settings.
• Supporting classroom activities, learning objectives, and individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Encouraging positive behaviors and helping students develop social‑emotional skills.
• Monitoring, redirecting, and reinforcing appropriate student behavior.
• Assisting students with daily living skills and personal care needs when required.
• Collaborating with teachers and support staff to create engaging and successful learning experiences.
• Helping students build confidence, independence, and lifelong skills.

Candidates must meet Minnesota Highly Qualified requirements through one of the following:

• Associate’s Degree (AA)
• Completion of 60 post‑secondary credits
• A passing score on the Para Pro or Para Educator assessment
• Equivalent training, coursework, and experience as approved by the Minnesota Department of Education
