Plant Engineer

A well-established independent power producer is seeking a Plant Engineer to support two generating facilities in a highly visible role with a defined path toward future plant leadership.

This position offers the opportunity to work across both combined-cycle and simple-cycle generation assets, providing engineering support for plant operations, maintenance, reliability, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with plant leadership while gaining broad operational exposure and increasing responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for plant operations, maintenance, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform root cause analyses.
• Support planned outages, capital projects, and maintenance planning.
• Monitor plant performance and implement reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, contractors, and OEMs.
• Maintain engineering documentation, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with technical decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• 4+ years of experience in power generation or a related industrial environment.
• Experience supporting gas turbine operations and maintenance.
• Combined-cycle and/or simple-cycle power plant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of outage support, reliability engineering, DCS/PLC systems, and maintenance planning.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel between two plant locations.
