Daikin Applied is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist in Faribault, MN. The role involves conducting safety inspections, developing policies, managing chemical documentation, and supporting environmental management systems.
Location:
Faribault, MN – In-office
- Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify and address hazards and risks.
- Assist in the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Support and maintain chemical management documentation, new equipment, and approval processes.
- Monitor and analyze EHS data, trends, and metrics to identify areas of improvement and support implementation of corrective actions.
- Assist the EHS leader in the preparation of EHS reports and presentations.
- Assist the EHS leader in leading EHS committees and teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Support and maintain the improvements of EMS (ISO 14001) and SMS (ISO 45001) document control and systems.
- Conduct or coordinate training to educate employees about safety policies, laws, and best practices.
- Assist site supervisors in investigations of incidents and severe incidents to prevent recurrence.
- Assist in the collection of samples for different testing analyses (e.g., storm water, chemicals).
- Assist in the conducting of risk assessments and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide EHS technical support for site‑specific initiatives and projects.
- Promote Daikin’s goal of zero accidents, emissions, and other hazards.
- Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations and industry best practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Associate’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related fields.
- 2–4+ years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred).

- The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $28.61 to $47.04 in MN.
