Summer STEAM Multilingual Cultural Facilitator; at site

Overview

Job Title: Summer STEAM Bilingual Program Facilitator (4 positions; 2 at each site)

This position will provide cultural and Spanish or Somali language assistance for Summer STEAM students in grades 1-8. Duties include verbal and written translation services, direct interaction with students and families, and working in a team of administrators and staff. This position will also play a major role in our attendance plan, which involves pulling daily attendance reports, reaching out to families when there are attendance concerns, and tracking this data on a spreadsheet.

Other duties as assigned.

• Provide cultural and language assistance (Spanish or Somali) for Summer STEAM students in grades 1-8, including verbal and written translation services.
• Interact directly with students and families and collaborate with administrators and staff.
• Play a major role in the attendance plan: pulling daily attendance reports, contacting families about attendance concerns, and tracking data in a spreadsheet.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Summer STEAM runs June 22 through July 30, 2026, Monday–Thursday. June 19 is not a program day.
• There may be additional paid opportunities for bus supervision, family engagement events, and end-of-program pack-up.
• There will be some required training dates during the week of June 15, to be communicated to hired staff once details are finalized.
• This position serves the Elementary program (grades 1-4) or Middle School program (grades 5-8) from 7:30am–3:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
• Pay rate is $25.32/hour. Applicants who are available for the entirety of the program will be considered first.

Fluency in written and verbal communication in Spanish or Somali; experience working with families and youth.
