Faribault Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and reliable custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the school facilities. These positions are crucial in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors.

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing all areas of the school.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in classrooms, hallways, offices, cafeterias, and other school areas.
• Ensure all entryways and exits are clean and accessible.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with setting up and tearing down for school events or activities as required.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and school policies.
• Secure the building at the end of the shift, ensuring all doors and windows are locked.

High School diploma or equivalent; reliable and able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, standing for extended periods; strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards; good communication skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team; reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Must have a valid driver’s license.
