Position - Grounds/Float Custodial.

2 openings needing to be filled.

Full-time Monday - Friday.

Hours:

• April 1st - October 31st: 6:30am - 3pm
• November 1st - March 31st: 10:30am - 7pm (Hours may vary during this period depending on snow removal and fill‑in needs throughout the district)

• Maintains and cares for district property, including regular mowing, garbage removal, etc., to present an attractive and welcoming environment.
• Performs custodial cleaning when needed.
• Prepares sports turf and game fields; grooms, lays out, and lines fields as established by the Lead Groundskeeper and Activities Director.
• Provides maintenance of paved areas, tracks, tennis courts, and parking lots; paints curbs and stripes parking lots/drives.
• Performs landscaping work, including mulching and sodding of areas.
• Performs turf care, including seeding, aeration, and occasional application of weed spray and fertilizer.
• Clears brush and trims trees, as needed.
• Conducts routine repair and maintenance of district equipment and vehicles.
• Performs preventative maintenance and regular service of equipment.
• Plows snow and removes ice from sidewalks and parking lots.
• Provides district grounds trash removal.
• Moves furniture and equipment from building to building, as needed.
• Subbing as assigned by the Buildings & Grounds Manager, which includes:
  • Delivery Driver
    • Daily delivery of intra‑campus mail on a scheduled route
    • Collection of food service and activity money at each site and returning the money to the District Office for processing
    • Delivery of lunch to designated sites
  • Lead Custodian
    • Cleaning
    • Open Building
    • Perform building requests throughout the day
    • Cafeteria duty and cleaning
  • Part Time Evening Custodian
    • During the winter months (November 1st - March 31st) hours change to 10:30am - 7pm when snow removal or Lead and Delivery subbing is not needed
    • Fill in at whatever building needs help from 3pm to 7pm during the winter months
    • Perform all cleaning duties required for the area you are assigned
• Assumes responsibility for the overall cleanliness and minor building maintenance of the area you are filling in for.
• Performs routine grounds work around the building perimeter including but not limited to snow and weed removal.
• Complies with health and safety mandates, including OSHA standards.
• Attends job‑related and/or mandatory workshops and training programs.
• Follows protocol and participates in routine safety and security drills.
• Other duties as assigned.
