Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Busbar Punching and Bending Machine Operator to support fabrication operations in Faribault, MN. This role is critical to producing high-quality electrical components through precision punching and bending of busbars. The Machine Operator will be responsible for equipment setup, material handling, quality verification, and maintaining production standards while adhering to safety and operational procedures.

• Set up and prepare busbar punching and bending machines by loading tools, dies, and materials
• Calibrate and align equipment to ensure precise punching and bending operations
• Operate machinery to punch holes and cutouts according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Perform accurate bending operations to required angles and dimensions based on print requirements
• Load, align, and position busbar materials for accurate processing
• Conduct quality inspections using calipers, gauges, and other measuring instruments
• Monitor production workflow and address inefficiencies or deviations
• Perform routine maintenance and basic upkeep on equipment
• Record production data, machine settings, and maintenance activities
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle time
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality personnel to meet production targets
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Basic Qualifications
• • 2+ years of machine operation experience or strong mechanical aptitude
• • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
• • Ability to read, write, and comprehend plant directives in English
• • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
• • Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination
• Preferred Qualifications
• • Previous busbar punching and bending experience highly preferred
• • High School Diploma or equivalent (technical training in machine operation or metalworking preferred)
• • Proficiency reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• • Experience performing basic machine maintenance tasks
• • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• • Ability to perform simple shop math and interpret process sheets and SOPs
• • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
