Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, we are in search of a Welder I, for our Faribault, MN facility. This position plays a critical role in achieving our strategic objectives. Trystar’s Welder I position is an important part of Trystar’s plan to become the world’s foremost custom solution provider.

In this role you will get to:
  • TIG/MIG Welding:
    Perform TIG and MIG welding on aluminum, mild steel, and stainless‑steel materials utilizing precise heat control and filler metal to create strong and aesthetically appealing welds.
  • Weld Preparation:
    Clean and prepare aluminum surfaces for welding, removing any contaminants or impurities that could affect the quality of the weld.
  • Material Inspection:
    Examine and verify the integrity of aluminum, mild steel, or stainless‑steel materials to ensure they meet the required quality standards before welding.
  • Welding Parameters:
    Set up and adjust welding equipment, including selecting the appropriate TIG welding torch, gas flow, and amperage, based on the thickness and type of materials being welded.
  • Weld Quality Control:
    Inspect finished welds for defects and discontinuities, using visual inspection and non‑destructive testing methods as required to ensure the product being manufactured is meeting required specifications.
  • Welding Joints:
    Work with a variety of welding joint configurations, such as butt joints, lap joints, and fillet welds, depending on the project's specifications.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while performing TIG and MIG welding, ensuring compliance with company and industry safety regulations.
  • Material Handling:
    Safely handle and move aluminum materials and welded components during the welding process.
  • Training:
    Assist in training and mentoring of Welder I employees.
  • Production Monitoring:
    Monitor the manufacturing process to maintain a steady workflow and promptly address any deviations or inefficiencies. This also includes daily production reports, tally sheets, scrap reports, etc. Must be able to understand the job orders and interact with Epicor.
  • Documentation:
    Accurately record production data in Epicor, machine settings, and maintenance activities to maintain production records and assist in process improvement efforts.
