Job Overview

Maintenance Technician – Can Line – 2nd/3rd Shift (Faribault, MN).

Faribault, Minnesota. 2nd Shift offered a 45‑cent differential; 3rd Shift offered a 40‑cent differential.

• Set up, adjust, repair, overhaul, and perform preventive maintenance on can line equipment.
• Carry out quality adjustment checks and evaluate line equipment to maintain standard quality and quantity production.
• Disassemble, replace, reassemble, inspect, and maintain assigned machinery and equipment.
• Measure and record all can dimensions against specifications.
• Maintain production, quality, and related records as directed.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform mechanical repairs and maintenance for production equipment.
• Ensure safety for all areas of assigned duties and maintain the safe mechanical performance of the line.

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and regularly lift between 10 and 50 lbs for more than 8 hours per shift.
• Basic math skills.
• Proficient reading, writing, speaking, analyzing, interpreting, and understanding of the English language.
• Ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with time and attendance policies.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and noise levels; work cooperatively with others.
• Verifiable mechanical and technical aptitude and experience.
• Pass basic Ramsay Mechanical Aptitude Test and basic Minimizer Test.
• Ability to read and use micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.
• Motivated and prepared to participate in SPC projects and functions.

• Complete a 4,000‑hour training program to become fully qualified as a Maintainer.
• Extensive on‑the‑job training (OJT) will be provided.
• Pursue progression with salary increases every 1,000 hours worked; performance evaluated at each 1,000‑hour interval.

• Starting wage of $31.03 per hour.
• Second Shift differential: 45 cents per hour;
  Third Shift differential: 40 cents per hour.
