Sheet Metal Fabricator

Starting Wage: $27.63 per hour
Shift options: 1st shift 6:00am–4:30pm, 2nd shift 5:00pm–3:30am, or weekend shift 6:00am–6:00pm Friday–Sunday
Overtime required.

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches or product specifications to determine sequencing and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products, including machine adjustments and material requirements per engineering requirements.
• Visually inspect incoming sheet metal material to ensure product meets quality standards.
• Spot weld, bolt, rive, screw, clip, caulk or bond component parts to assemble panels.
• Inspect assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications.
• Operate computer equipment to read drawings of product or system including Doc Vu, VKS and AMS.
• Perform basic maintenance functions according to equipment needs.
• Coordinate workflow, paperwork and communications to meet production needs, as directed by the team leader or supervisor.
• Train new members on machines, procedures, safe work practices and any safety/quality/production items.
• Maintain the 5S program to ensure a clean work area.
• Follow and understand HOMESafe, Personal Choice and company safety manual requirements.
• Identify and rework defective work pieces to meet quality standards.
• Use hand tools.
• Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) and obtain PIT license.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Physical ability to lift, push, pull materials, stand for majority of shift, work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• Competence in using hand tools for extended periods of time.
• Read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• High School Education/GED or minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
