Work Hours:

3rd Shift – Sunday‑Thursday 10:00pm – 6:30am.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician II maintains, repairs, calibrates, adapts and improves controls, power supplies and equipment in a timely manner to assure that production and uptime goals are met and equipment is proactively maintained. They also assist in developing work instructions, training and certifying team members, and assisting in special projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the maintenance of all equipment.
  • Acquire thorough technical knowledge of plant operations, equipment and processes.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and re‑build parts as required.
  • Perform basic plumbing installation and repairs.
  • Assist with inventories and control stock of supplies using iMaint to determine inventory levels.
  • Perform duties safely using approved safety equipment as instructed.
  • Perform duties in accordance with business process documentation.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with all department employees.
  • Apply good work habits and maintain a neat and orderly working area throughout the work day.
  • Complete Tru Vue Train the Trainer program and train Maintenance Level1 employees on necessary skills to achieve Level2 Maintenance.
  • Utilize Lean Sigma and Continuous Improvement techniques to improve overall plant operations (safety, quality, productivity, OEE).
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • 5+ years of experience or a technical degree in a related field and 2‑5 years of experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic.
  • Proven ability in mechanical and electrical repair.
  • Understanding of vacuum systems preferred.
  • Lathe and mill experience helpful.
  • Able to use iMaint (CMMS) to document all work.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Able to obtain and maintain current license for powered industrial equipment.
  • Able to perform basic plumbing installation and repairs.
  • Able to use mechanical measuring devices and complex testing equipment (VOM, pH, and conductivity meters).
  • Able to read basic electrical blueprints and meters and troubleshoot with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to train others and lead and develop others.
  • Ability to learn Lean Sigma and Continuous Improvement techniques.
  • Clear sense of urgency, sensitivity to quality, attention to detail, and ability to manage priorities.
  • Cross‑train in a team environment and work in a multicultural workplace.
  • Awareness of general operating standards for mechanical and electric/electronic systems to recognize and anticipate likely problems before they become critical.
Pay Range

Pay Range: $23.00–$26.00 per hour.

  • Noise level normally loud; moving mechanical parts.
  • Exposure to vibration and risk of electric shock.
  • Varying temperatures, hot and cold.
  • Requires sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing; using hands and fingers; reaching overhead; occasionally lifting up to 30 lbs.
