Test Stand Operator; FBO

Start Wage: $34.93 + shift differential

Shift: 2nd shift 4:48pm‑3:18am Monday‑Thursday

Location:

Daikin Applied – Faribault South

• Connect and operate test stand unit and adjust controls as necessary to meet specifications
• Locate and identify the safe testing amperage and voltage
• Read schematics and blueprints to ensure proper assembly
• Use computer test software effectively
• Complete required test documentation in a timely manner
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve unit performance abnormalities within electrical and refrigeration systems
• Communicate the status of the test process to team members and supervisors
• Use specialized and basic tools necessary to complete the test process
• Train new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent items regarding safety, quality and production
• Maintain the 5S program to ensure a clean work area
• Follow and understand HOMESafe, Personal Choice and company safety manual requirements
• Identify and rework defective work pieces to comply with quality standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal products, including machine adjustments and material requirements per engineering requirements
• Use hand tools
• Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks)
• All other duties as assigned

• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for the majority of the shift, and work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE
• Ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• High School Education/GED or minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment
• 2‑year trade school (EPA) certificate in A/C Refrigeration or equivalent education approved by the company
