Electrician

Position Overview

As an active member of the production team on the plant floor, the Electrician or Journeyman will support the daily production activities at a three-piece can manufacturing operation. The role interacts closely with all aspects of the manufacturing process, requiring a hands‑on approach to cover a variety of duties and responsibilities.

• Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical systems, computers, building and machinery, including 480V 3‑phase power and control systems.
• Apply working knowledge of AC and DC power supplies, 3‑phase, single phase, generators, PLC and electronic equipment.
• Operate and use electronic or electrical testing equipment.
• Work from and maintain electrical drawings, schematics and prints.
• Enforce and apply electronic and electrical codes.
• Assist in new installation and upgrades of plant equipment.
• Conduct process checks as required.
• Collaborate with outside contractors to maintain a functional fire alarm system.
• Maintain cleanliness of the electrical shop and job sites while practicing appropriate safety procedures.
• Assist and support other production‑floor operations as needed.
• Complete all administrative tasks, including logbooks, data entry, jumper logs and record keeping.
• Comply with additional duties and responsibilities of a Crown Cork & Seal team member.

• Valid licensing from the State of Minnesota.
• Three or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Proficient reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical blueprints, electrical schematics and parts specifications.

• Competitive starting wage: $36.71–$40.95 per hour.
