Packaging Line Worker
This role involves working on an assembly line to package bleu cheese products in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will rotate positions every two hours and perform repetitive tasks such as portioning, weighing, labeling, and boxing products for shipment while maintaining quality and consistency.
Responsibilities- Work on an assembly line packaging bleu cheese into 2–5 oz portion containers according to production requirements.
- Place bleu cheese into containers and send them down the assembly line for weighing to ensure each portion meets the correct weight.
- Apply lids and labels to containers accurately and consistently as products move through the line.
- Pack finished, labeled containers into boxes for shipment, following established packing and stacking procedures.
- Rotate between different positions on the line approximately every two hours while maintaining productivity and focus.
- Perform repetitive tasks while standing in one place for extended periods, maintaining speed and accuracy.
- Follow all production, safety, and cleanliness guidelines in a wet and cold environment.
- Collaborate with team members on the line to keep production flowing smoothly and efficiently.
- Assist with general production tasks such as picking, packing, labeling, and basic inventory-related activities as needed.
- Experience or familiarity with general production work.
- Ability to work on a packaging line and assembly line in a repetitive, fast-paced environment.
- Skill in labeling, picking, and packaging tasks.
- Ability to stand in one place for extended periods while performing repetitive motions.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure correct weights, proper labeling, and accurate packaging.
- Comfort working in a cold environment (approximately 45–50 degrees) that can also be wet and have strong odors.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and rotate positions regularly.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in packaging, assembly, or inventory support is beneficial.
- Comfort performing repetitive work and maintaining consistency over an entire shift.
- Reliability in adhering to assigned shift schedules and production expectations.

WorkEnvironment
The work takes place in a food production facility on a packaging and assembly line. The environment is cold, typically around 45–50 degrees, and can be wet with a strong cheese smell. Work is highly repetitive and requires standing in one place for extended periods, with rotation to different line positions approximately every two hours. Teamwork is central to the role, as you will work closely with others on the line to maintain steady production.
Available shifts include a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and a second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, both operating in a structured, production-focused setting.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Faribault, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.19 - $20.19/hr.
