ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  • Supervise the customer service level in the retail showroom, including team member execution of customer service programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.
  • Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak business hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends).
  • Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching and mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on their individual training.
  • Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members.
  • Answer the telephone according to company policy.
  • Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders are processed timely and customers are notified upon shipment arrivals.
  • Use the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and in accordance with procedure.
  • Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds accurately with correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise in the returns area correctly.
  • Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before products leave the store.
  • Communicate Zipline messages, and delegate and complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure all team members comply with company policies, adhere to posted work schedules, obtain approval for changes or deviations, and clock in/out appropriately.
  • Perform store opening and closing duties: day‑end procedures, verify and secure money/deposits, prepare bank deposits, ensure night security lights are on, lock doors, secure building, arm/disarm security alarms, and check/secure delivery vehicles parked in designated area.
  • Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITIES

Required:

  • Sales Specialist Training
  • Assistant Manager Certification
  • RSS Certification

Desired:

  • Certified Parts Professional Certification
  • ASE Certification
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
Compensation and Benefits

Competitive wages (pay range $11.41 - $20.30 per hour, subject to minimum wage laws).
