Position: Store Counter Sales (Part Time)

Overview

We are more than a parts store and are looking for talent to join the NAPA family. As a Counter Sales Associate you are the face of the store, helping customers with their automotive needs. The role is suitable for full‑time or part‑time, or anyone looking to start a career in automotive retail.

Responsibilities
  • Provide automotive parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers.
  • Use your parts knowledge to assist team members answering customer questions.
  • Deliver outstanding customer care and interactions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Bring a focus and high energy to the store and share a positive customer experience.
  • Use technology (computer, cash register, telephone) and system tools.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn.
  • High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort with a fast‑paced retail environment.
  • Great listening skills and empathy for customers.
Preferred Experience
  • Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership.
  • Experience in a parts store, auction, retail, or auto body collision.
  • Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
  • Customer‑centric focus.
  • ASE certification.
