Machine Maintenance Technician III

Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager Maintenance Technician. Under limited supervision and with minimal technical guidance, this position keeps site machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair. Examines machines to diagnose trouble, dismantles machines, replaces defective parts, reassembles machines and makes necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operations. Location: Faribault, MN

Shift: Sunday - Tuesday and every other Saturday, 6:00 pm - 6:00 am

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments and replace/repair defective components or equipment
• Work involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Human Interface Modules (HMIs), etc.
• May have to work with equipment operators to diagnose equipment breakdowns, and determine root cause
• Test faulty equipment, perform basic electrical troubleshooting, and apply knowledge of functional operation of electronics and equipment to diagnose the cause of the malfunction
• Train with contractors or outside equipment representatives as needed
• Submit purchase order requisitions for parts
• Maintain records of repairs and work orders completed
• Move and set up workstations/offices
• Troubleshoot and repair minor maintenance problems involving facility, electrical, and plumbing
• Participate as part of the emergency response team
• May assist outside emergency response teams
• May provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff
• Observe and comply with Company safety procedures at all times

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous manufacturing experience
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a First Aid certification

• Preferred 2 years education in a related field

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $31.74 - $50.77 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
