Machine Maintenance Technician

Overview

Daikin Applied is seeking a maintenance technician to uphold the reliability and safety of site machinery and mechanical equipment. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, fabricating replacement parts, and collaborating with equipment operators, contractors, and emergency teams.

Faribault, MN. Shift: Sunday–Tuesday and every other Saturday, 6:00pm–6:00am.

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments; replace or repair defective components or equipment.
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), VFDs, HMIs, and associated peripherals.
• Diagnose equipment breakdowns, determine root cause, and test faulty equipment.
• Conduct basic electrical troubleshooting and apply knowledge of electronics operation.
• Submit purchase order requisitions for parts and maintain records of repairs and completed work orders.
• Move and set up workstations or offices as required.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor maintenance problems involving facility, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Participate as part of the emergency response team; assist outside emergency response teams when needed.
• Provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff.
• Observe and comply with company safety procedures at all times.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing or maintenance experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid certification.
• Preferred: 2‑year education in a related field.

Typical hourly rate ranges from $31.74 to $50.77 in Minnesota. Pay is based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
