We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our independent service, repair, and specialist workshop team in Faringdon. As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Faringdon workshop, you will:

• Perform scheduled servicing
  , routine maintenance, and safety inspections across a wide variety of makes and models.
• Execute mechanical repairs
  , clutch and gearbox work, timing belt/chain replacements, and major diagnostic repair work on engine, suspension, steering, and braking systems.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to systematically isolate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Maintain precise digital job records
  , complete vehicle health checks (VHCs), and keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Collaborate with workshop team members to ensure high repair standards and right‑first‑time quality control.

• Qualifications & Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / IMI equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair. Proven hands‑on experience with timing belts/chains, clutch/gearbox replacements, and core mechanical overhauls is required. F‑Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
• Licensing: Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Equipment & Mindset: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks. Strong problem‑solving mindset, high attention to detail, and a collaborative team attitude.
