Austin Bridge & Road has an outstanding opportunity for a Earthwork Foreman at our large heavy civil project in Farmers Branch, TX
. This role supervises teams on construction projects, including highway structures, right-of-way clearing, pile driving, road surfaces, underground utilities, traffic control, and concrete paving. Responsibilities include ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with plans while coordinating with inspectors, developers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Manage a small amount of onsite fleet equipment
- Recruit hourly trade personnel
- Manage craftsmen and laborers, equipment and materials
- Logistics planning
- Scheduling construction daily and weekly
- Execute project work plans
- Manage crews productively and effectively
- Training of others on the crew
- Purchasing of materials, tools, and supplies
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Perform quality work to meet requirements
- 5+ years supervising crews on heavy civil projects, including bridges, subgrades, and concrete paving
- Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety and be diligent in demonstrating safe work practices
- Experience in supervising crew
- Experience using HCSS Heavy Job (tablet based)
- OSHA 10 hr, First Aid/CPR, rigging, flagging, fall protection, trench excavation, and manlift
- Must be highly organized with an attention to detail
- Be an effective communicator
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadline
- High School Diploma/GED or higher
- Valid driver’s license
- Requires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperatures
- Must be able to work on call as needed
