Maintenance Worker - Utilities

Overview

The purpose of this position is to perform manual labor within assigned division. Depending on area of assignment may be responsible for maintenance and repair of infrastructures, drainage systems, water and wastewater systems, and/or construction projects.

Depending on the assignment may provide emergency response to all Public Works issues after hours which may include but is not limited to trees down, water and sewer issues.

• Perform manual labor within the assigned division, including maintenance and repair of infrastructures, drainage systems, and water and wastewater systems, and/or construction projects as assigned.
• Provide emergency response after hours for Public Works issues, such as trees down and water or sewer problems, as required by assignment.

• 8th grade education plus 5 years experience in a similar field, or
• High school diploma or GED equivalency with over one year of related experience.

Employment is conditional upon successful completion of a criminal background check, drug and alcohol test, and a motor vehicle review.
