Project Scientist – Farmers Branch, TX
Atlas is a nationwide leader in civil engineering and environmental consulting. We are seeking a Project Scientist to join our team.
Job Responsibilities- Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments – field assessment, historical research, regulatory database analysis, and report writing.
- Provide billable administrative support to Project Managers as requested.
- Become thoroughly familiar with Atlas policies and procedures.
- Degree in Geology, Engineering or Environmental Sciences.
- 4‑7+ years of experience with Phase I ESAs, Phase II’s, site investigations, including site visits, regulatory database analysis, and report writing.
- Valid US Driver’s license.
- Perform field work under limited supervision and in accordance with Atlas and Client safety protocol.
- Able to manage time and prioritize projects with minimal supervision to meet established criteria.
- 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification, current HAZWOPER refresher.
- Working knowledge of TCEQ regulations.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other widely used computer programs.
- Experience with EDR’s Parcel and Quire Platforms is a plus.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 30%, mostly within Texas and Oklahoma.
- Desire to obtain relevant professional registration or certification, if not already obtained.
