  • Support Senior Corporate Banking Relationship Managers in building and servicing profitable commercial business relationships
  • Research clients and prospects to assist marketing efforts
  • Create proposals and pitch materials for Corporate Banking teams
  • Develop and maintain financial models for standard pitch templates
  • Collaborate with OCR partners, capital markets, and other product and service partners
  • Participate in pre-call planning and develop agendas
  • Join client and prospect calls, take detailed notes, and enter call reports into the corporate CRM system
  • Monitor and execute pipelines of referrals and opportunities for loans, deposits, and fee-generating products and services
  • Update the corporate CRM system to maintain pipeline accuracy
  • Participate in underwriting loan requests for new and existing customers
  • Perform BSA/AML/KYC onboarding for deposit and loan closings
  • Create annual account plans and update activity throughout the year
  • Monitor and update OCR cross-sell plans and Capital Allocation Committee commitments, including targeted ROE
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities within the existing portfolio
  • Inform management and Relationship Managers about prospect and client relationships, portfolio factors, and the competitive environment
  • Develop knowledge of corporate banking products
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Some travel required
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Formal credit training (at Huntington or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2+ years of commercial banking experience, preferably in a CSG Credit Products Analyst/Associate role or equivalent
  • FINRA Series 79 and Series 63 licenses, or must take and pass the SIE, Series 79 and Series 63 exams within the required time frame
  • Strong credit skills, credit background and knowledge
  • Ability to analyze corporate financial statements and make recommendations on credit structure
  • Sound understanding of the Corporate Banking business, related products, and pertinent regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong planning, negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • High level of interpersonal and sales skills
  • Legal/Loan documentation experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to quickly learn additional systems/software
  • Proficiency in credit fundamentals to determine appropriate risks and align relationships with bank risk appetite and return parameters
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
