Position Summary

CVS Health is looking for a Senior Workday HCM Configuration Analyst to join our Human Resources Technology team. The role supports HR and Payroll business operations by providing optimal and scalable technological solutions for Workday HCM for domestic and international employees.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide integral support to Human Resources and Payroll organizations for technology needs, collaborating with HR Business Partners, COEs, and HR Shared Services.
  • Establish cross‑functional relationships throughout HR Technology and Human Resources to ensure solutions are effectively designed and implemented.
  • Collaborate with business and technical partners to support the Workday Core HCM functional area and roadmap, including global priorities.
  • Understand business needs and evaluate Workday capabilities through research and testing.
  • Maintain clear and up‑to‑date list of key deliverables and timelines; develop plans to achieve targets and proactively communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Ensure delivered products meet or exceed business needs and objectives.
  • Support enhancements, project requests and defects, providing optimal and timely solutions.
  • Gather requirements, perform fit‑gap analysis, functional design, configuration and testing; create necessary documentation at each stage.
  • Participate in Workday semi‑annual release process, engage with release team on cross‑functional initiatives, and liaise with Business Leads on critical impacts and upcoming opportunities.
  • Support regression testing and guide regression testing teams.
  • Engage with the Workday Community to stay informed on new and planned functionality and communicate changes that could impact business.
  • Translate business requirements to technical solutions and create appropriate timelines.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date documentation in tracking tools.
  • Perform and support user acceptance testing; create test plans, scenarios, cases, and results.
  • Integrate relevant data and information to positively impact Workday strategy; share key insights and actions based on data and metrics.
  • Challenge partners to rethink HR and Payroll processes; act as a thought partner and model creative problem‑solving.
  • Generate reports and analytics to support business needs.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years configuring the Core HCM product for domestic and international colleagues.
  • 4+ years experience with calculated fields, complex reports and various configurations in Workday.
  • 4+ years configuring, maintaining Business Processes, and building solutions in Workday.
  • 3+ years working with HR technology landscape, including cloud computing and mobile technologies.
  • 3+ years gathering requirements, performing fit‑gap analysis, designing solutions, creating functional designs, configuring Workday, conducting UAT, and maintaining product health.
  • Ability to create necessary documentation in each phase.
  • 2+ years collaborating with SaaS vendors to resolve defects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting HR and Payroll systems for large organizations with non‑exempt employees.
  • Experience with other Workday areas including Absence Management.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and sustain relationships with business partners and stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Team‑work and multitasking ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, self‑starter, highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with Project Management, Change Management, and Communications.
Location

May require working onsite two days a week in one of CVS Health’s core hubs:
Farmers Branch, TX;
Scottsdale, AZ;
Hartford, CT; or Woonsocket, RI. Full‑time remote candidates will also be considered.

Compensation

Typical pay range: $83,430.00 – $ per year (base hourly rate or base annual salary). Actual base salary depends on experience, education, geography and other factors. Eligibility for bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program is possible.
