Procurement Specialist, Mechanical Parts

LGEUS IPO (International Procurement Office) Team is looking for a Procurement Specialist to help LGE HQ procurement activities with suppliers in US and Mexico. This person will lead sourcing new suppliers of mainly mechanical parts, injection molding, press/sheet metal, raw materials in terms of quality, cost, delivery and new cutting-edge technology for LGE current and future products.

This role will be based in Farmers Branch, TX, working onsite 5 days a week.

The Procurement Specialist will assist the team lead to achieve the team goals and will find local suppliers for US and Mexico production sites.

The team is looking for a candidate who is proactive, eager to learn, enjoys traveling to meet suppliers, and is relentless to achieve the goals.

• Lead the sourcing of new local suppliers of mechanical parts and raw materials on quality, cost, delivery competitiveness.
• Develop sourcing strategies to expand new supplier sources for LGE’s production sites in the US and Mexico.
• Develop and release RFQs to new suppliers, review price quotes, and deliver samples to HQ.
• Monitor and analyze procurement strategies within the North American market. Benchmark pricing, sourcing locations, and supply chain structures to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Act as the primary point of contact for steel-related suppliers and market trends. Track raw material indices, trade tariffs, and industry shifts that impact mechanical part pricing.
• Introduce new technology companies to LGE HQ for future products.
• Manage and resolve difficult procurement/purchasing issues with suppliers such as deliveries and shortages.
• Support discussions with HQ procurement team to resolve complex procurement/purchasing/supply chain issues in North America, including price negotiation, supply disruption, and new supplier registration.
• Provide on-site support to HQ employees traveling to suppliers on business trips.
• Conduct market research, perform detailed analysis and create executive reports on major semiconductor suppliers, service providers, automotive manufacturers and consumer electronics related to LGE business through various channels including media. Research and reporting areas are industry news and market trends, trading company reports, automotive and consumer electronics latest trends including acquisitions, investments, blackouts, government policies and regulations that impact LGE.

• 0-2 years of experience working at a mechanical products company or consumer electronics/industrial products company.
• Experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing of mechanical components (injection molding, die-casting, press/sheet metal) or raw materials (steel, resin) is a plus.
• Frequent business trips required to support LGE HQ teams’ business trips to suppliers.

• Bachelor’s degree majoring in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.

$50,000 – $65,000 USD
