DescriptionThe Nurse Practitioner (NP) delivers primary medical care to patients and is responsible for caring for patients, maintaining accurate and current patient records and scheduling and administering follow-up appointments to patients as required. The NP works as a team with nurses and physicians and assists in delivering premium care to each and every patient.
Essential Functions- Perform initial patient screenings and patient history and physical examinations
- Update patient records and check records for accuracy at each patient appointment
- Analyze test data and determine the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment options
- Deliver quality care while maintaining all company metrics pertaining to productivity
- Serve as the resource patients need for ongoing care information, counseling and provide guidance for any patients with critical condition
- Ability to work within a team and take direction
- Must be familiar with the EHR medical charting system
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
This job is designated as a Category I job using OSHA definitions. This means there are tasks that involve exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials. Use of appropriate protective measures is required for any employee engaged in Category I tasks.

Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional medical clinic and operating room environment following the standards of the AORN (Association of Operating Room Nurses).
Physical DemandsStand/walk for up to twelve (12) hours per day; bend, stoop, twist; assist patients in turning, rising from recliners and stretchers; assist patients in and out of wheelchairs; push wheelchairs; the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
TravelThis position may require some travel. 3 days Mesquite and 2 days Farmer Branch.
Educational & Experience Requirements- Master’s Degree in Nursing
- 2+ years’ nursing experience
- Valid nurse practitioner license
