Sales Development Manager

At Move Concierge, a strong start can shape a lasting sales career. We’re looking for a Sales Development Manager to guide new sales team members through their first 90 days, from classroom training to confident performance on the sales floor.

This strategic position involves deploying onboarding programs that not only facilitate a smooth transition for new sales employees but also aim to boost retention and foster long-term engagement. This role leads a team of salespeople to help drive revenue, motivate them to successfully handle leads, and set targets to hit or exceed revenue forecasts.

• Deploy various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training using various forms and formats, including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos

• Review and analyze sales and operational records and reports; using data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies

• Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements

• Facilitate a 2-week onboarding classroom training program as part of the onboarding program.

• Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and ongoing feedback

• Stay current on sales training best practices and Move Concierge products and processes

• Assist in development of instructional materials and job aids

• Participate in interviewing and the selection of candidates

• Provide daily leadership to the assigned sales team

• Motivate and encourage the sales team to ensure quotas are met

• Provide guidance and support to team members to develop their skills

• Organize and oversee the schedules and performance of assigned team

• Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive

• Handle progressive discipline of employees in accordance with company policy

• Resolve customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field

• At least three years of sales leadership experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills

• Strong supervisory and leadership skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

• Salesforce or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience
