As a Senior Software Engineer within PNC’s Credit Card Rewards and Lending Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, or Dallas, TX.
As a Senior Software Engineer within our Credit Card Rewards and Lending Technology team, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining cutting-edge applications, leveraging your technical expertise to design and implement RESTful APIs, build scalable microservices architectures, and work with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. You will actively participate in Dev Ops practices, including CI/CD pipeline development, and collaborate within an agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
Proficiency in both relational and non-relational databases will be important for success.
Your responsibilities will include writing, testing, and deploying applications, performing JDK migrations, improving code coverage, addressing Sonar fixes, and implementing security remediations. You will also prepare technical and procedural documentation, maintain and debug applications, and conduct performance tuning to ensure optimal efficiency and scalability.
Due to the nature of this position, we are seeking professionals with strong expertise in Java/J2EE and Spring Boot microservices, as these are foundational to the role.
Experience with Agile frameworks, Bitbucket, Jenkins pipelines, Maven/Gradle, and Oracle/SQL is essential. Additional skills such as Kafka, Docker containerization, Dynatrace, Apigee, Data Power, Angular, and familiarity with DB2 or No
SQL databases (Mongo
DB) are highly desirable.
