Software Engineer​/Quality Assurance; GOV

Position Overview

As a Software Engineer within PNC's C&IB's organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX.

• Define, develop, implement, and maintain scalable, reusable test automation strategies.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using QFaaS, Karate, and BDD tools like Cucumber.
• Execute functional, regression, system integration, end-to-end, and accessibility tests.
• Collaborate with developers, QEs, and POs to understand requirements and define test scenarios.
• Create and maintain test strategies, test cases, and test result documentation.
• Track and report quality metrics including defect density, test coverage, and execution status using JIRA, X‑Ray, and Confluence.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Mentor QA team members and provide technical guidance.
• Promote best practices in Agile, Dev Ops, and test‑driven development (BDD/TDD).
• Effectively assess and manage risks in alignment with PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

• 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Proficiency in Java or JavaScript for automation scripting.
• Experience with Selenium, JUnit, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG.
• Hands‑on experience with Intelli

• Proficiency using version control systems like Git and Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with JIRA for bug tracking and reporting.
• Basic debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in both manual and automated testing environments.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques.

• Roles at this level typically require a university or college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
