Position Overview

Software Engineer Sr – PNC Technology, Farmers Branch, TX.

Role involves designing and developing software solutions, focusing on high-quality code, testing, and deployment.

• Advanced Java expertise; core Java;
• Spring Boot microservices, JUnit, mocking frameworks;
• RESTful API design and implementation;
• Source control using Git.

• Authentication and authorization services;
• OAuth 2.0 and JWT security models;
• API management platforms (Apigee);
• Modern security best practices.

• Improving application observability in enterprise environments;
• Hands‑on experience with Dynatrace for APM, performance analysis, and root‑cause investigation;
• Experience with Elastic Search / Elastic Stack for centralized logging, querying, and correlation;
• Understanding of distributed systems monitoring, metrics, and tracing.

• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or equivalent);
• Enterprise Dev Ops best practices;
• Supporting deployments and diagnostics across multiple environments.

• Experience leading and influencing engineers without direct authority;
• Proven ability to resolve complex production, performance, and reliability issues.

• Provide detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms;
• Propose and design software solutions to address complex business needs;
• Write code, test, and deploy software;
• Prepare technical and procedural documentation required for software;
• Maintain and debug software.

Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role. A degree, or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience (including military service) is preferred.

• Application Delivery Process, Application Design, Architecture, Application Development Tools, Application Testing, Packaged Application Integration, System Development Life Cycle, Technical Troubleshooting, Technical Writing/Documentation.

Roles at this level typically require a university/college degree and at least 3+ years of relevant industry experience. Certifications are desired.
