As a Software Engineer Lead within PNC's SRC Retail RTB organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX.
Job duties will include, but not limited to:
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Software Engineer Lead to provide technical leadership and operational oversight across a diverse portfolio of enterprise applications. This role is responsible for ensuring application reliability, performance, monitoring, reporting, and continuous delivery while supporting modern cloud-native and microservices-based platforms.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in CI/CD pipelines, application support, observability, reporting solutions, infrastructure technologies, and enterprise monitoring tools, with a proven ability to manage complex distributed environments and drive operational excellence.
Drive continuous improvement through post-incident reviews and preventive actions.
Define and track Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and error budgets.
Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production outages.
Develop runbooks, operational documentation, and recovery procedures.
Service Now comprehensive experience and knowledge.
Technology monitoring and alerting knowledge - Dynatrace, Elastic Search, Grafana, etc.
Experience with distributed infrastructure and storage technologies.
Coding experience, database experience.
Familiarity with SRE.

Job Description- Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions.
- Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required.
- Facilitates complex problem resolution.
- Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues. Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software.
- Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
