Business Planner II; Japanese - English Bilingual

Location & Work Arrangement

SEWS – Farmington Hills, Michigan Office. Hybrid position combining in‑office and off‑site work. Associates are required to work at least four days in the office each week, but also have flexibility to work off‑site.

Business Planner II

• Lead business performance management activities within the Wire Harness Business Planning team.
• Business planning, budget and forecast management, and profitability analysis.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive operational improvements and support team initiatives.
• Support development and mentoring of junior team members.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial results of managerial Profit & Loss statement by collecting accounting and other data and report them to management with analysis.
• Create and update budgets of managerial Profit & Loss statement twice a year or quarterly and present proposals to management.
• Arrange monthly performance review meetings and prepare meeting materials.
• Calculate wiring harness finished goods purchasing prices and material selling prices in transactions with group companies, using product cost structures and the IT system.
• Review and revise finished goods purchasing prices quarterly in transactions with group companies.
• Verify wiring harness finished goods purchases/imports monthly against actual purchase records for accounting journal entries (payables).
• Create invoices for wiring harness materials shipped to group companies for accounting journal entries (receivables) and collection of accounts receivables.
• Improve daily operations proactively.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3 to 5 years progressive professional business accounting/finance experience.
• Proficiency in PC applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese at business level.
• Experience in business performance management and data analysis.
• Experience in mentoring, training, and supporting junior team members.
• Experience leading cross‑functional activities as a project leader.
