Why Join Litens?Join Litens Purchasing team as a Supply Chain Analyst. The Supply Chain Analyst manages the Company’s inventory and materials forecasting to ensure that customer fill rates and inventory objectives are met. The Supply Chain Analyst will use data and analytics to anticipate demand, organize resources, streamline inventory and increase logistic efficiencies. In addition, the Supply Chain Analyst will support negotiating with suppliers to help reduce inventory and improve profitability.
Whatwill you do? Inventory Management:
- Analyze inventory levels, sales data, demand forecasts and historical trends to develop insights into inventory performance and make data-driven recommendations.
- Develop and implement strategies to manage and optimize inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock to meet fill rate targets while minimizing carrying costs and excess or obsolete inventory.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, and aging stock to make data-driven decisions regarding stock replenishment, allocation and disposal.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and develop strategies to minimize financial impact.
- Analyze inventory and production data, generate performance reports and present findings to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
- Adjust supply timing as needed to improve service to customers and/or improve inventory turns and other inventory objectives.
- Place material orders and track adherence to delivery dates with the supply base.
- Escalate issues and threats to the delivery plan with suppliers via email, phone call and meetings as necessary.
- Support minimizing of supplier price increase impacts via the purchasing process of data analysis, negotiation and closure of agreement.
- Request and drive for supplier cost reductions, rebates and/or continuous improvements, MOQ and lead time reductions to improve Company’s profitability.
- Lead projects to competitively quote, analyze/summarize and negotiate a savings on freight, packaging, materials, services as assigned by management.
- Analyze freight cost, density and shipping methods to identify areas to improve efficiency and drive out logistic waste.
- Engage in and respond to customer issues reported by customer service team relative to logistics (inbound / outbound), part availability, part quality or other supply related matters.
- Apply sense of urgency to resolve vendor issues as soon as possible, elevate to vendor contacts immediately, push them for quick resolution. Feed updates to customer service team.
- Conduct 5-Why analysis where instructed by customer or management.
- 1-3 years experience in inventory and logistics analysis, preferably in the automotive aftermarket sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent ownership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills. Ability to negotiate with suppliers.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for shipping and inventory control.
- Proficiency with inventory management software, ERP systems, and Excel tools such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables and general troubleshooting.
