Contract Business Planner
This is an open‑end Contract position (40 hours per week) through a staffing agency. This is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off‑site work. Associates are required to work at least four days in our Farmington Hills, Michigan office each week. No relocation benefit will be offered for this position.
Basic PurposeThe Business Planner is responsible for analyzing and tracking North American Business Unit financial performance, as well as leading efforts for budget preparation and profit improvement. The Business Planner is the focal point to interface and coordinate with internal SEWS functions to consolidate data needed to prepare feasibility studies to respond to customer inquiries, including Requests for Quote. The Business Planner also has an important role to interface with other financial planning and analysis teams, including Wire Harness and Corporate Business Planning.
Responsibilities- Bachelor’s Degree – Preferably in Business, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
5+ years progressive experience in business planning, financial planning and analysis, accounting or costing. Specific experience related to Electrical Distribution System products, including components, wire harnesses or electrical distribution boxes, is a plus. - Good financial knowledge, including experience with financial statements, financial analysis and/or budget management.
- Skills/
Certifications:
English fluency required – Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Ability to interact closely with team members and internal stakeholders to complete financial analysis and feasibility studies.
- Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
