Asphalt Laborer

Key Responsibilities

• Rake, shovel, and use tools to apply hot mix asphalt on highways, private roadways, parking lots and driveways.
• Partner with crew members to pave roadways as per plan specifications and provide support for other positions as instructed by the crew foreman.
• Shovel dirt, asphalt or stone and sweep areas associated with heavy highway construction; use power or hand tools as required.
• Adapt to extreme weather temperatures while performing duties.

• CDL license preferred.

• Minimum 1 year of road construction experience preferred.

• Strict adherence to safety requirements, procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) policies.

• Understand and perform density requirements including PWL.

• Time spent walking, standing, bending, lifting and sitting.

• Outdoor job site in extreme weather conditions.
