Senior Interior Designer

Davis & Davis, a collaborative and design-driven architecture firm based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, is seeking a Senior Interior Designer with 7+ years of professional experience in architecture and interiors.

This role is ideal for a well-rounded, senior-level professional who brings both creative design leadership and technical execution to the table. We're looking for someone who can confidently manage projects from concept through completion, contribute to the creative vision, lead project teams, and maintain strong client relationships.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and project management of high-quality architectural and interior projects
• Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and internal team members throughout all phases of design and construction
• Schedule and facilitate client meetings, presentations, and design reviews
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
• Produce drawings, renderings, and documentation packages using AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Prepare finish and material specifications, FF&E selections, and construction documents
• Lead construction administration including submittals, RFIs, site visits, field reports, and punch lists
• Contribute to team mentorship, design critique, and studio leadership
• Maintain strong, professional client relationships through proactive communication and quality service

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited program
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in architecture and interior design
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from design through construction
• Strong conceptual design skills and technical competency
• Expertise in AutoCAD and Revit is required
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud;
  Enscape or other Revit-compatible rendering software preferred
• In-depth knowledge of building codes (IBC, ICC/ANSI standards) and industry best practices
• Excellent organization, communication, and team collaboration skills
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to lead with minimal supervision
