Safety Engineer

VENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring a Safety Vehicle Evaluation Engineer to provide support in Metro Detroit. Use your talents as an Engineer to support the development and execution of vehicle safety test programs.

Full-time, long-term contract (Minimum 8 months) with potential for direct hire based on business needs and job performance. $40.00 - $55.00 per hour based on education and years of relevant experience.

• Engineering degree is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Safety Engineering.
• Automotive OEM Experience.
• Experienced Engineer with proven expertise in vehicle crash and sled testing, instrumentation, and regulatory compliance
• Full Vehicle testing experience and a deep understanding of requirements ,), corresponding test procedures, and required Instrumentation.
• Familiar with IIHS and US NCAP testing procedures.
• Ability to analyze technical data, root cause issues, and write clear reports.

Position focuses on full-vehicle and occupant safety testing, managing test properties and logistics, delivering high-quality data, and ensuring alignment with FMVSS, IIHS, and US NCAP standards.

• Support Vehicle Safety Engineering development and delivery of Test Program.
• Deliver quality test events through fixturing, test set up, test property pedigree verification.
• Manage, track and deliver any required test property updates and retrofits.
• Drive delivery of testing to project milestones.
• Ensure quality test reports and proper data collection.
• Manage parts and logistics for testing development.
• Deliver efficient test property usage through re-use strategies.
• Communicate all test results to the cross functional teams.
