Field Support Engineer

A cutting-edge technology company is seeking qualified candidates for a Field Systems Support Engineer position at our manufacturing facility in the greater Novi area. This role offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise to support, troubleshoot, and maintain critical systems that protect people, facilities, and assets.

• Provide remote and on-site service and support
• Interact with customers to diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
• Identify the root cause of technical problems through investigation and communication
• Escalate priority issues to management when necessary
• Follow up with customers to ensure positive outcomes
• Stay current with system updates and industry advancements
• Schedule service tickets and coordinate field service technicians or contractors
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach to service excellence

Candidates should be mechanically inclined and have at least three years of technical field service or support experience with expertise in:

• Controls & Control Panels
• Networking & System Connectivity
• PLC Programming & Troubleshooting
• Relays & I/O Modules
• Low Voltage Wiring
• Physical Pipe and Pressurization Systems
• Fire & Security Equipment Installation & Service

• PLCs & Control Modules
• Electrical Schematics & Wiring
• Vendor Specification Sheets & Technical Manual
