We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in automotive transmission and driveline systems to lead the design, analysis, and development of advanced mechanical solutions at both component and system level.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading technical programs, guiding engineering teams, and delivering complex powertrain solutions using advanced design, simulation, and analysis tools. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with precision rotating components, structural systems, and drivetrain architectures, as well as a proven ability to lead technical programs and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams.

This position requires a strong combination of technical leadership, analytical expertise, and project ownership within a fast‑paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and validation of transmission, driveline, and actuation systems using advanced simulation and engineering tools
  • Lead technical programs and engineering teams through the full product development lifecycle
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers within drivetrain development projects
  • Utilize state-of-the-art simulation techniques, CAE tools, and design methodologies to develop optimized drivetrain solutions
  • Lead the analysis and design of precision rotating components, structural components, and complete mechanical systems
  • Define and apply materials, manufacturing processes, and design standards appropriate for drivetrain components
  • Deliver technical work packages and full engineering programs while managing schedule, quality, and technical performance
  • Develop and implement new engineering methodologies, simulation techniques, and analysis tools within the organization
  • Generate engineering documentation including calculations, simulations, CAD models, drawings, and technical reports
  • Present technical solutions and design reviews to internal teams, customers, and technical forums
  • Lead the preparation of technical proposals and engineering quotations from concept through submission to clients
  • Manage engineering resources and workload allocation within small to medium-sized engineering programs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams
  • Support the development and growth of technical capability within the Mechanical Engineering organization
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and technical standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Extensive experience in automotive transmission and driveline system design and development
  • Proven experience leading technical programs and engineering teams in drivetrain or powertrain development
  • Strong expertise in mechanical design and CAE analysis of transmission and driveline systems
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex engineering projects technically and commercially
  • Experience working with precision rotating components, gear systems, shafts, bearings, and structural drivetrain components
  • Proficiency with key drivetrain engineering tools such as: (SMT MASTA, Romax, Creo / NX / CATIA, MATLAB, ANSYS)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and their application to complex drivetrain systems
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to customers and cross‑functional teams
