This company, a global leader in automotive safety technology, is looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to be the architect for future products in ADAS and autonomous driving.

Position DescriptionYou’ll be responsible for developing Level 4+ real-time ADAS/AV systems with a focus on high-performance SoC solutions. Specifically, this person will be the primary architect for the team, initiating the design and then taking it through the full development life-cycle. This will include working directly with suppliers (Qualcomm, Nvidia, etc.) to make sure their solutions meet the team’s needs.
Responsibilities include:- Develop product architecture with an emphasis on hardware, software, and high-speed communication pipelines (Multi-Gig Ethernet, PCIe, etc.).
- Make key decisions in terms of sensor selection and system integration.
- Optimize architecture for safety and cybersecurity compliance (ISO 26262, ISO 21434, etc.).
- Lead efforts in DFMEA, FTA, and troubleshooting sub-system issues.
- Act as the primary point-of-contact for customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams.
- Bachelors in Engineering with 10+ years of experience in automotive (specifically ADAS and AV) systems architecture, including hardware and software.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working on High-Performance SoC platforms, such as Qualcomm or NVIDIA , including system integration, performance optimization, and hardware/software interaction at the platform level.
- Strong knowledge of full embedded development life cycle, with a track record leading teams turning concepts into products. This includes sensors, networking, safety, and security.
- Strong background working with SoC suppliers, with a strong knowledge of their products (trade-offs, what chips can be used if something isn’t available, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills, with the proven ability to work with multiple teams at suppliers, OEMs, and internal groups.

Local candidates preferred, though relocation may be available for high-level experience.
