Job Summary:
Provide management and direction for the Engineering functions. Design and develop systems for manufacturing operations. Understand and analyze customer requirements for product design, modification, or appropriate application. Required travel could involve overnight stays, weekend assignments and international opportunities.
- Analyze plant processes, design and implement improvements.
- Troubleshoot issues with hardware and processes.
- Plan preventative maintenance.
- Work with others to detect problems and implement solutions.
- Maintain quality and safety standards are upheld.
- Perform and document control system testing.
- Review reports and test results.
- Design and develop components.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained.
- Maintain quality and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot issues with controls systems.
- Perform and maintain an inventory of all control systems.
- Create equipment and systems that help a machine run smoothly.
- Repair any malfunctions found within the machines.
- Collaborate with design engineers to build better functioning machines and systems.
- Use listening skills to apply updates according to customers' needs.
- Follow safety regulations to ensure customers are safe when using the products.
- Troubleshoot to find and solve issues for a specific system.
- Compare, analyze, and determine if existing products can meet customers’ needs.
- Make suggestions and recommendations to customers for product modifications and improvements.
- Consult with direct supervision or internal customers for product modifications.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and apply appropriate pricing.
- Operate computer aided design (AutoCAD) system and be responsible for new design as well as design changes.
- Conduct analysis of operating conditions and specifications proposed by customers.
- Determine appropriate product selection and/or application.
- Create proposals, quotations, and apply appropriate pricing.
- Coordinate and conduct appropriate training seminars and demonstrations to meet customer needs.
- Maintain current knowledge of company’s products and equipment capabilities.
- Possess knowledge of engineering disciplines and industry standards affecting quality.
- Provide technical support for internal and on-site customers.
- Complete assigned departmental projects.
