About the Role
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to support the design, programming, commissioning, and startup of automated assembly equipment for automotive manufacturing applications.
This position offers hands-on involvement throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept development and controls design through customer installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and production support.
You will work closely with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, project managers, and customers to deliver high-performance automation systems for North America's leading manufacturers.

- PLC programming and control system development
- HMI design and implementation
- Servo and motion control systems
- Industrial robotics integration
- Automated assembly equipment
- Machine commissioning and startup
- Controls documentation and electrical design support
- Equipment debugging, optimization, and troubleshooting
- Customer-site installation and support
What We're Looking For
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting automotive manufacturing operations
- Experience with Japanese automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers is highly valued
- Experience with automated assembly, manufacturing, or machine-building environments
- Experience commissioning and troubleshooting industrial automation systems
Controls & Automation Experience
- Strong PLC programming experience
- Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs strongly preferred
- Experience with Omron PLCs highly preferred
- Experience with Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLCs may be considered
- Industrial networking and communication protocols
- Servo systems, VFDs, and motion control
- Robotics integration and programming
- Machine safety systems and industrial automation standards
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related field
- Equivalent hands-on industry experience will also be considered
