Job Description & How to Apply Below

Cambient is an independent multi-family office serving affluent families, private foundations, and entrepreneurs. We provide comprehensive wealth management, investment advisory, and concierge services with a commitment to discretion, professionalism, and highly personalized care.

We are expanding our wealth management offering to serve individuals and families seeking personalized investment management and comprehensive financial planning. This offering brings Cambient’s investment expertise and commitment to client service to families whose needs do not require the full scope of a family office relationship.

About the Role

Cambient is seeking an experienced Senior Wealth Advisor to lead client relationships and help build our growing wealth management offering. This individual will serve as the primary advisor for these clients, taking responsibility for understanding their financial lives, developing recommendations, and coordinating implementation with Cambient’s investment and client service teams.

The role combines direct client advice with the opportunity to shape how the offering develops. Working closely with Cambient’s leadership, the advisor will help establish the planning process, client service standards, and approach to growth.

The ideal candidate is comfortable independently leading client relationships, enjoys translating financial complexity into clear advice, and brings the initiative to build a practice with the support of an established team.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary advisor for wealth management clients, leading discovery, planning, investment reviews, and ongoing communication.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial plans addressing retirement, cash flow, education funding, risk management, charitable giving, and tax and estate planning considerations.
  • Translate each client’s goals, risk tolerance, and liquidity needs into investment recommendations in collaboration with Cambient’s investment team.
  • Coordinate with clients’ CPAs, estate attorneys, and other outside professionals to keep advice aligned and follow through on planning recommendations.
  • Lead prospective client conversations, explain Cambient’s approach, and guide new relationships through onboarding.
  • Develop new relationships through referrals, professional networks, and collaboration with Cambient’s team.
  • Work with firm leadership to define and refine the wealth management service offering, including meeting cadence, planning deliverables, and client communication.
  • Partner with the client service team to ensure accurate implementation and timely resolution of client needs.
  • Maintain current financial plans, client records, and documentation consistent with firm policies.
  • Help identify staffing and resource needs as the practice grows.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Business, or a related field.
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in wealth management or financial planning, including meaningful experience independently leading client relationships.
  • Strong working knowledge of investment management, retirement planning, and the tax and estate considerations that affect personal financial decisions.
  • Ability to turn complex financial information into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Experience developing client relationships and earning referrals through thoughtful advice and consistent service.
  • Initiative and sound judgment, with the ability to establish processes and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • A high degree of discretion, professionalism, accountability, and client focus.
  • Take a leading role in building and shaping a growing wealth management offering.
  • Own meaningful client relationships and help individuals and families make important financial decisions.
  • Work directly with firm leadership, supported by Cambient’s investment expertise and client service resources.
  • Help establish the processes and standards that guide the practice as it grows.
  • Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and professional development support.
  • A collaborative, client-centered culture built around integrity, excellence, and innovation.
