Scope

of work

The Unit Secretary coordinates the non‑clinical aspects of patient care by managing communication and clerical tasks essential to the functioning of the unit.

About This Unit

This seventy‑two bed PCU practices patient and family centered care. The unit acuity level of patients is progressive care. Our unit consists of initiative‑taking, skilled Nurses, Nursing Assistants, and Telemetry Technicians working together as a Team. FH PCU cares for a wide variety of critically ill patients who require cardiac drips with need for titration, ventilated patients, and those that require a higher level of supportive care.

Qualifications
  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Specialized Unit Secretary/Health Unit Coordinator training
  • 1 year of relevant experience Clerical and/or customer service experience Preferred
