BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
EMS Coordinator is responsible for the administration, coordination, and continuous improvement of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) operations within the department. This position oversees EMS training, clinical standards, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness while supporting departmental goals, personnel development, and patient care excellence.

Previous Work ExperienceMinimum of two (2) years of experience in career services. EMS Coordinator experience preferred.
EducationMinimum of 50 college credit hours. Associate’s degree preferred.
Special Skills & Training- Fire Fighter I and II Certifications (MFFTC)
- ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800
- State of Michigan Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic License at time of hire
- Hazmat Operations
- ACLS, Instructor Coordinator and ACLS Instructor Certifications (documents must accompany the completed application)
- Valid State of Michigan Driver’s license with no serious record of misdemeanors, traffic violations, or felony record
- 20/20 vision or correctable to that vision level
ASAP
4 – 10 Schedule, Monday – Friday, with ability to respond off duty to emergencies and OT as required.
